Join Sebastian Mullaert on April 24th 2020 from 19:00 till 20:30 CET for a 90min masterclass session which will be broadcasted live as part of Ableton Loop 2020 virtual event programme - #LoopAtHome.
Streamed live from In Discourse studio in Malmö Sweden, this live performance demonstration will reflect on the values of improvised creation in all of it’s manifestations: from concerts, studio sessions, workshops and other activities he is known for.
The session will begin with a short live performance by Sebastian showing the artist in the flow of his element - improvisation!
He will then proceed to a full breakdown of his live setup and provide a detailed explanation of his performance system and workflow. He will share further insight into his philosophy of improvisation as it relates to: liberation and creative flow, methods that encourage a rich experiences while improvising, strategies specific to electronic music software, hardware and collaboration with other musicians.
The final part of the session will be dedicated to a live Q&A session in which you will have an opportunity to ask the artist any questions.
And to top this off we are releasing a public download of Sebastian’s Ableton Live project template, alongside a full construction kit containing an unreleased sketch which is available to download from the link below.
